The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Team Coordinator in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR) Program. Job Summary

This position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.

Under the direction of the Program Manager the Team Coordinator will provide leadership and oversight of the Psychosocial Program for adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and those with co-occurring Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD) including supervision of staff, delivery of program services, compliance with laws and regulations. This is a fast paced, community integration-oriented position geared to helping individuals in service to engage in their recovery process and to function at their highest level of independence in their community.

The Team Coordinator supervises program staff including those who are Virginia Adult Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A) and Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. The Team Coordinator may also provide clinical supervision to supervisees obtaining hours for clinical licensure.
The responsibilities of this position include:
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of psychosocial rehabilitation services and interventions.
* Maintains a small caseload of individuals receiving services and conducts group sessions as needed.
* Provides clinical services including conducting intake and annual assessments. Ensures appropriate service delivery to individuals within the program. Monitors clinical documentation, assures compliance with federal, state and department regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Plans, assigns, and reviews work of team members. Leads clinical team discussions to review the quality and effectiveness of client care and service.
* Manages staff performance in accordance with County and Human Resources policies; provides regular feedback; completes appraisals of performance; ensures staff adheres to all applicable policies and procedures of the Department and of the County; ensures staff is trained and certifications are current; and advises supervisor of challenges with staffing, workload, or performance.
* Assists program manager with program oversight including facilitating staff meetings, revising, and developing policies, procedures, and procedural guidelines.
* May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Salary commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, and/or Marriage and Family Therapy or other license eligible degree.
* VA clinical licensure as a LPC, LCP, LMFT, LCSW, or other relevant clinical licensure in VA.
* Two (2) years related work experience.

Preferred Experience:
* Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

  • Work schedule is 37.5 hours per week.
  • Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed.
  • Must be able to drive County vehicles, including minivans and 15-passenger vans.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
  • Candidates who hold out of state licensure and are eligible for licensure through VA endorsement will also be considered.
