The Office of Student Involvement (OSI) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) engages students in a vibrant campus community through holistic, co-curricular experiences. Toward this aim, the OSI offers a broad menu of leadership and involvement programs and initiatives and serves as a resource to the entire campus community. Job Description
* Provide a high level of day-to-day customer service for students, faculty/staff advisors by answering questions, and addressing and resolving issues related to student organization financial business. * Maintain an ongoing knowledge of University and Student Activities Fee Committee policies, procedures and guidelines ensuring compliance for Student Organization spending. * Manage daily business and financial support services for 400+ registered student organizations, including daily purchases, contracts and agreements, and budget/purchase requests. * Oversee the Student Organization one card purchase reconciliation processes and update financial systems for student organization budgets and expenditures within the Campus Groups system. * Book travel for Student Organizations; including conference registration, hotel booking, flight or train travel, rental cars and ensuring all proper paperwork is turned in prior to student travel. * Daily review, and approval of Student Organization one card system and delegation of p-cards to Student Organizations. * Work in collaboration with the Coordinator for Leadership and Student Organization Development to ensure effective and consistent communication with all Student Organizations about budget and spending processes. * Monitor Office of Student Involvement and P-card emails. * Train, develop, and hire student employees to support the Office of Student Involvement front desk. * Maintain a constant presence at the Office of Student Involvement front desk. * Other duties as assigned. On-Site Office Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a higher education environment. * The ability to interact with faculty, staff, and students. * The ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and work on confidential initiatives. * The ability to update website(s) and or be willing to gain the necessary training. Anticipated Hiring Range
$18.87 per hour - $20.82 per hour commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity. Application Deadline
