Job Title: Laser Operator


Location: Manitowoc


Job Type: Full-Time


Department: Wall Department


Shift Hours: 6am - 2pm Monday through Friday - Occasional Overtime


Pay: $21.50


Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for precision and manufacturing? Join our team as a Laser Operator and play a key role in our production process. You'll operate state-of-the-art laser cutting machines, ensure top-notch quality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate and adjust computer-controlled laser cutting machines
  • Set up and calibrate machines for cutting operations
  • Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Select and modify cutting programs as needed
  • Identify and report defective materials
  • Train new team members and assist across the department
  • Participate in events and process improvement initiatives
  • Suggest and support productivity enhancements
  • Monitor and report downtime issues
  • Maintain a strong safety culture
  • Train others on PPE and safety protocols
  • Report safety concerns promptly


Qualifications & Skills Needed



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Leadership potential and lean manufacturing exposure a plus



Physical & Work Environment Requirements



  • Stand and reach for extended periods
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
  • Work in a loud, non-climate-controlled facility
  • Perform repetitive tasks and operate vibrating tools
