Open Until Filled.



$19.47 to $21.42 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Central Disposal Facility/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the use of acetylene and/or electric arc welding equipment for welding metal parts together or for flame cutting, as specified by layout, diagram, work order, or verbal instructions.



REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of experience in the welding trade. Successful completion of coursework in welding at a post-secondary school may be substituted on a year for year basis for a maximum of one (1) year (1,080 class hours [1 school year] = 1 year of experience; 120 class hours = 1 month of experience). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial driver's license with airbrake endorsement, and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
