OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Senior Data Integration Engineer, you will help build out data pipelines connecting enterprise systems. You will be responsible for overseeing daily data integration team activities and projects for the company. You will work closely with other functional business groups to ensure efficient and effective product delivery in support of business goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Designing and developing large scale data and analytical systems

o Designing, implementing, testing, deploying and supporting data models, storage plans, optimization strategies and other data outputs to support the enterprise data needs

o Communicating with customers to gather requirements and resolve issues

o Translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing standards

o Implementing and developing complex automated ETL routines

o Suggesting improvements and amendments to existing products, tools, database structures, queries, reports and implementing any changes

o Acting as a technical expert and reference point for wider technical queries

o Conducting critical reviews of existing solutions with a view to achieving simplification and/or performance increases

o Mentoring other members of the team

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The skills and qualifications required for this position include:

o Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field of study

o Possess 3 years of software development experience in Java/Object Oriented Programming

o Possess 1 year of experience in ETL/data integration activities

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Knowledge of Agile Software Development methods

o Knowledge of Software Engineering principles, included the software development life cycle and code versioning

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess at least 1 year experience implementing data integration across enterprise systems

o Prior experience using ETL tools

o Prior experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases

o Prior experience with Kafka Streams and/or KSQL

o Prior experience with MongoDB and/or Realm Object Server

COMPENSATION:

The pay range for this position is $85,000 - 110,000.
