The Principal Architect for Lumen's Network as a Service implementation for infrastructure data is responsible for developing strategic goals and tactical solutions for network data related initiatives that will include digital twin, database design, device modeling, and service modeling. This role involves collaborating with network operations, architects, and engineers, as well as software development and business stakeholders to create a comprehensive vision, standards for data management related to network infrastructure physical and logical properties, as well as data modeling and schema definitions for network devices and their data. Key responsibilities include creating methods to track network data quality, addressing network data integration or syncing issues, developing policies for network data governance, security, and compliance, as well as database design for storage of vast amounts of device configuration and state data. Additionally, the Principal Architect is tasked with implementing tools and systems to support network data technology goals and ensuring that solutions adhere to data standards. This includes managing network data sources, movement, interfaces, and analytics to guarantee data quality, as well as documenting the network data architecture to maintain a current and accurate view of the network data landscape.
