The go-to resource for culturally intelligent leaders, MFHA provides a range of products and services, including workshops, webinars, research/reports, program initiatives, private speaking engagements and consulting services designed to unlock and unleash human potential.

Reporting to the VP, MFHA, the Director of Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness will serve as in-house leadership strategist and the strategic architect behind its leadership development agenda, translating vision into proprietary frameworks, executive-level content, and high-impact learning tools that elevate MFHA's voice in the industry.

As a thought partner to the VP, MFHA, the Director of Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness, will be responsible for developing the underlying intellectual property, contributing to internal leadership development resources, and may represent MFHA in select executive forums, industry partnerships, or high-stakes sessions, as well as ensuring the integration of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) principles across all leadership programming.

Position requires a highly confident, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader who brings proven expertise in leadership and organizational development, including a minimum of ten-15 years of experience designing or delivering compelling executive-level educational/training content. Certification in executive coaching or instructional design is a plus, as well as experience with business development and partnership cultivation.

Ideally looking for candidates local to the DC/MD/VA area, who can operate out of our DC office Monday-Wednesday (remote Thursdays and Fridays). Qualified candidates in approved states including CT, NV, RI, and WI, may operate fully remote with travel as required.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Framework Development & Thought Partnership



  • Lead development of MFHA's core leadership frameworks and models.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the Vice President, co-developing keynotes, panel content, and public-facing leadership materials.


Leadership Programming & Internal Capability Building



  • Design internal leadership development programming for MFHA.
  • Ensure alignment between strategic goals and leadership programming design.


Executive-Level Engagement & Representation



  • Represent MFHA in executive conversations and industry briefings when appropriate.
  • Facilitate select high-stakes workshops and events.


Instructional Design Oversight



  • Provide advanced instructional design guidance and ensure MFHA programming is grounded in adult learning science and behavioral outcomes.


Requirements:

Organizational Leadership & Strategy



  • Master's degree in OD, leadership, organizational psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in executive coaching or instructional design is a plus.
  • Minimum ten -15 years of experience in OD, executive coaching, leadership development, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Organizational Effectiveness, with strong grounding in strategic alignment, leadership development, systems thinking, and inclusive culture building.
  • Experience developing proprietary frameworks or strategic leadership models.
  • Proven experience with business development and partnership cultivation preferred.


Thought Leadership & Content Strategy



  • Strong writing and synthesis skills to support CEO-level thought leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or delivering educational/training content.
  • Comfort with facilitation, content development, and partner engagement.


Cultural & Emotional Fluency



  • Familiarity with systems change and adaptive leadership in complex organizations.
  • Brings depth in Cultural Intelligence (CQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and Positive Intelligence (PQ) as tools for change, resilience, and performance.


Execution & Influence



  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead projects and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.


Additional Skills/Knowledge



  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with the highest level of integrity and character, demonstrating high moral and ethical behavior.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible; responsive and accepting of change.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
  • Highly effective organizational, time-management, prioritization, and documentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency across MS Office including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to learn other computer software programs as needed. Tech savvy with an understanding of how to apply modern technologies.
  • Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
