Control Technician - Priva and Metasys Job Description Overview A skilled Control Technician specialized in Priva and Metasys building management systems. This role involves installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building automation systems to ensure optimal building performance and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and commission Priva and Metasys building automation control systems Program controllers and create control sequences according to design specifications Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in BMS systems Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability Monitor building systems performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency Create and update system documentation and operating manuals Provide technical support and training to clients and facility staff Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders Requirements Experience with Priva and/or Johnson Controls Metasys systems Strong understanding of HVAC principles and building operations Proficiency in BMS programming and configuration Knowledge of network protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON) Ability to read and interpret control drawings and schematics Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking Strong communication skills for client interaction Willingness to respond to emergency service calls when required Qualifications Technical diploma or degree in Building Systems, Electronics, or related field Minimum 2-3 years of experience with building automation systems Certification in Priva and/or Metasys preferred Valid driver's license and clean driving record Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Professional development opportunities Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Tools and technology provided This position offers excellent growth potential for individuals passionate about smart building technology and energy efficiency solutions.
