Your Role

As a Fabrication Welder, you'll work in our UST Building, welding carbon and stainless steel pipe using TIG techniques. You'll ensure quality and safety while contributing to projects that matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Fit, tack, and weld pipe using TIG
  • Operate Miller & Lincoln scratch start machines
  • Set up welding equipment (voltage, current, gas flow)
  • Inspect welds for quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with team leads to meet deadlines
  • Follow safety and environmental protocols
What You Bring

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • TIG welding experience
  • Ability to pass a 6G TIG Weld Test on:
    • 2" schedule 80 carbon steel pipe
    • 2" schedule 40 stainless steel pipe
  • Availability for 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) + overtime
  • Strong work ethic and attendance
  • Physical stamina (lift, bend, stand)

Preferred

  • Pipe fitting experience
  • Sub arc welding experience
Additional Requirements
  • Lift/move up to 35 lbs
  • Work outdoors up to 20% of the time
  • Read tape measure accurately
  • Visual acuity for blueprint reading and weld inspection
