Your Role
As a Fabrication Welder, you'll work in our UST Building, welding carbon and stainless steel pipe using TIG techniques. You'll ensure quality and safety while contributing to projects that matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and technical drawings
- Fit, tack, and weld pipe using TIG
- Operate Miller & Lincoln scratch start machines
- Set up welding equipment (voltage, current, gas flow)
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance
- Collaborate with team leads to meet deadlines
- Follow safety and environmental protocols
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TIG welding experience
- Ability to pass a 6G TIG Weld Test on:
- 2" schedule 80 carbon steel pipe
- 2" schedule 40 stainless steel pipe
- Availability for 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) + overtime
- Strong work ethic and attendance
- Physical stamina (lift, bend, stand)
Preferred
- Pipe fitting experience
- Sub arc welding experience
Additional Requirements
- Lift/move up to 35 lbs
- Work outdoors up to 20% of the time
- Read tape measure accurately
- Visual acuity for blueprint reading and weld inspection
