Overview:

Travel in a designated territory approximately 4 days a week, 1 day of administrative work and meetings. Normal work hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F.

Grows patient volume and promotes NCH's programs and services to physicians, physician medical groups and others in an assigned geographical territory.Coordinates the organization and planning of objectives, development and execution of growth and maintenance strategies, goal setting, and providing good account relations.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Engages and develops alignment with community practices and other referral sources. Develops and maintains good relationships and leverages those relationships to grow volume-inpatient, outpatient, and surgical.
  • Serves as liaison to community primary care providers in Pediatrics, Family Practice, and Internal Medicine, as well as Nationwide Children's Primary Care offices. In addition, will promote service and carry out hospital initiative with Emergency Departments, Urgent Cares, Schools, and other clinical stakeholders.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements innovative ideas and methods to promote Nationwide Children's services in assigned market(s).
  • Manages territory to achieve the appropriate call reach and frequency for community providers and other referral sources.
  • Promotes NCH services through personal sales calls with physicians in practices and other referral sources. Plans, organizes, and facilitates the development of presentations for physician events to build awareness and grow business.
  • Develops outreach meetings to facilitate and promote physician experts with local physician offices and other referral resources. Attends physician social and CME events to follow-up on opportunities and gather market intelligence.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in a clinical discipline, marketing, communications, or health administration, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of insurance plan impact on care managed care concepts.

Experience:

  • Three years of sales experience in health care field, required.
  • Experience with a CRM, preferred

FREQUENTLY: Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required, Standing, Walking
