OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and experiencedMaintenance Technician IIIto join our manufacturing team. This full-time role is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal plant operations.

Key Responsibilities Position



  • Interpret diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to determine work procedures
  • Operate rigging equipment and dollies to position heavy machinery and parts
  • Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
  • Align and test equipment, making necessary adjustments
  • Perform predictive and operational maintenance procedures
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components
  • Service and repair electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform non-structural welding and tack welding as needed; assist with fabrication and maintain inventory of replacement parts
  • Assemble, align, and balance pumps, valves, cranes, fans, and traveling screens
  • Support training and development of Maintenance Technicians I and II
  • Demonstrate understanding of plant and process operations
  • Be available for after-hours major repairs or plant interruptions
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; demonstrate strong instructing skills



Qualifications & Skills



  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift certification required
  • Solid understanding of fluid mechanics (hydraulics and pneumatics) and related components (valves, cylinders, pumps, compressors)
  • Proficient in using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical/laser alignment tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and well-organized
  • Good verbal, reading, writing, and basic math skills
  • Clean work and disciplinary record
  • Physically capable of working in various positions (sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, pulling)
  • Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 pounds
