Research Intern, Ophthalmology

~ 30 hours per week (PRN hours may fluctuate)

A Brief Overview

The UH Eye Institute is seeking a highly motivated intern to serve as the research assistant for research projects and initiatives throughout the department.

What You Will Do

• Recruit and/or interview study subjects
• Travel to different locations to collect data as needed
• Maintain accurate records of data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
• Manage and reply to project-related correspondence
• Provide flexible administrative support as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
