Job Description: Manager, Regional Quality Huntsman is seeking a Manager, Regional Quality supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Manufacturing Director. Job Scope The Manager, Regional Quality is responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System, execution of key elements of Quality operational plans, and developing lean continuous improvement capabilities for the Americas Region. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Lead cross functional team to study and develop effective tools, methods, and systems to ensure that the products and services are of the highest quality. By partnering with site leadership, regional and corporate resources, and global networks; will facilitate full integration of Quality Management System (QMS) into value streams ensuring audit compliance. Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect and used to measure quality results and to drive continuous improvements. Sets tactical and operational plans for the achievement of short to medium-term goals for the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. Provides guidance on the implementation of corrective actions for issues related to internally produced products and processes. Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Develop department budget and Key Process Indicators (KPIs). Integrate business goals into regional objectives and utilize policy deployment process to manage, track, and evaluate regional performance In summary, as the Manager, Regional Quality, you will: With minimal supervision and heavy decision-making:
- Accountable for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Americas Region to address certification requirements, evolving business needs, and alignment across the division.
- Collaborate with Site Managers and Quality Managers to ensure that site QMS meets the certification and customers' requirements and is effectively implemented and continuously improved.
- Establish, implement, optimize, and maintain the Regional QMS processes and policies. Work with cross functional teams on key regional procedures to assure compliance to AdMat's Quality management system and alignment.
- Work with Site Managers/Leads to maintain certifications and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor Site Quality Managers.
- Accountable for Quality Culture program within Americas region and coordinating cross regionally for alignment.
- Work cross-functionally with senior management and key stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and maintain robust world-class Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Provide strategic long-term as well as tactical short-term leadership, direction, and supervision for all Regional Quality Management Systems (QMS) programs, projects, initiatives, and personnel.
- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with senior management and key stakeholders to:
- Develop and achieve Quality goals and objectives and optimize corporate performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop, approve, and monitor annual Quality budget and take timely corrective and/or remedial action based on thorough review and analysis of monthly budget variances.
- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively at all levels and with all functions to meet customers' quality expectations and bring about cultural and other changes necessary for an effective Quality Management System (QMS).
- Share Quality Learnings, successes, and best practices
- Represent Quality Management for Advanced Materials Americas including The Woodlands, Texas.
- Aid in key customer audits, as needed, within the Americas organization and assure findings are properly followed-up and resolved.
- Review key Customer Product Specifications, Quality Assurance Agreements, and Product Approvals by working collaboratively with cross functional teams/stakeholders. Ensure these requirements are properly recorded and required individuals are informed to assure compliance with agreements.
- Work with Site Managers/Quality Managers to aid investigations of complaints from premium/key customers to assure timely and proper root cause and corrective actions are created and information is properly communicated to the customer and within AdMat.
- Coach, mentor, and support AdMat Americas individuals in Quality Management, Leader Standard work and best practices
- Aid development of a strong Quality network across the Americas region
- Participate in Regional Quality Projects
- Develop and track Regional Quality KPI's
- Interfaces with other functions to develop and manage key interactions that will enable achievement of business and quality management objectives.
- Analyzes regional trends and makes improvement recommendations to the Regional Manufacturing Director.
- Builds overall functional competency and ensure critical Quality positions are staffed properly at each site. Identify and develop qualified resources for site Quality resources.
- Works with regional Continuous Improvement Manager to ensure CI practices are incorporated into Quality Management practices.
- Ensures compliance and consistent implementation of corporate metrics and regional metrics.
- Establish and implement applicable measurements / metrics for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers/employees to make sound product quality decisions.
- Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and establish criteria and rating system for critical vendors.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits.
- Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Function as main contact for customers regarding quality issues. Other general responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by manager.
- Provides support and mentoring to Site Quality Managers/Quality Managers
Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree on Chemistry or related fields and a minimum 7 years' experience in a similar site or regional role in medium to high-hazard chemical manufacturing.

- Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Quality Management Systems: certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 and/or AS/EN 9100
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus
- Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) a plus
