The Model Risk Analyst provides support to the ongoing enhancement and execution of the bank's Model Risk Management (MRM) Program. This role is responsible for overseeing model governance practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations, and partnering with business units to manage model risk throughout the model lifecycle. The ideal candidate will combine technical understanding of models with a solid grasp of risk management frameworks and regulatory guidance.

This position is a hybrid role with weekly in-office expectations. Due to those work requirements, candidates must be located in Milwaukee, WI or Green Bay, WI. We invite you to view the opportunity below. As a Model Risk Analyst, you will:
  • Support the execution of the Model Risk Management Program by overseeing model development, implementation, validation, and ongoing performance monitoring activities.
  • Maintain the model inventory and ensure all models are appropriately classified, documented, and tracked in accordance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Review and challenge model documentation and validation efforts to ensure alignment with policy and regulatory guidance
  • Collaborate with business lines and model owners to provide guidance on model risk governance, including model design, use, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of model risk reporting and dashboards, including key risk indicators and risk metrics.
  • Stay current on regulatory updates, industry practices, and emerging risks to identify opportunities for process improvements and program enhancements.
  • Participate in governance forums, regulatory exams, internal audits, and working groups to support enterprise risk oversight and communication.
  • Provide independent risk-based analysis and recommendations to senior management regarding model performance, usage, and compliance risks.
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems and tools that improve model tracking, risk evaluation, and reporting.

In addition, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to:

  • Simplify complex concepts and processes into clear, accessible explanations
  • Apply statistical modeling and quantitative analysis techniques effectively

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Emphasis in Applied Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related quantitative or business field, required
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Risk Management, Data Science, or related disciplines, preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with responsibilities related to risk management, compliance, or model governance, required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferred.
