We're actively seeking a talented Manager Data & Technology Delivery to join our enterprise data organization in Newport Beach, CA As a Manager Data & Technology Delivery, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading the delivery of data solutions for the CMD division. A Data Manager leads division wide data initiatives, focusing on Master Data Management (MDM) and Customer Data. They ensure data integrity, compliance, and usability while mentoring teams and aligning data practices with business goals. The manager will lead a high-performing team of data engineers to architect, build, and maintain scalable data solutions and initiatives. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and innovation across the organization. How you'll help move us forward:
- Lead the Customer Data team in designing and implementing data capabilities
- Establish and uphold standards, policies, and procedures for Customer and master data domains
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Salesforce) to align data initiatives with business objectives
- Manage data quality initiatives, including profiling, cleansing, and validation
- Oversee integration of customer data from disparate systems to create a unified view
- Promote the adoption and optimization of Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as Informatica, IBM MDM, and SAP MDG
- Monitor KPIs related to data quality, completeness, and timeliness
- Provide thought leadership in data stewardship, metadata management, and governance
The experience you bring:
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with a strategic mindset
- Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing data engineering talent
- Extensive expertise in data management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with budgeting and financial oversight
- Skilled in analytical thinking, problem resolution, and decision-making
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data management

- Proficienct in agile frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and technical architecture
