Location: U.S. Remote

Reports To: Chief Transformation Officer (CTO)



About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Technology & Product Portfolio Management, to lead the standardization and improvement of how J.D. Power delivers products and technology solutions across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for building and managing an integrated portfolio delivery model that harmonizes product development lifecycle practices, prioritization processes, and execution frameworks.

You will play a critical role in aligning stakeholders around a single, enterprise-wide approach to portfolio delivery, helping ensure our most important work is executed effectively, efficiently, and with clear ROI. This position will collaborate closely with both product and technology leadership as well as the Transformation Office to drive consistency in business case development, project governance, change management, and value realization.

This is aremote leadership rolethat willbuild and manage a team of program managersas the portfolio function scales. You will be responsible formentoring, coaching, and developing talentto support enterprise-wide delivery excellence. You will alsolead change management efforts, ensuring that portfolio practices are adopted consistently and that stakeholders are supported through transitions in delivery models and governance.

What You'll Be Doing in the Role

Lead Portfolio Delivery Operations: Manage a unified portfolio framework that aligns product, technology, and transformation initiatives with strategic priorities.
Harmonize Delivery Practices: Integrate multiple delivery approaches into a single, consistent operating model for product development and execution across the organization.
Standardize Lifecycle Management: Establish clear stage gates and checkpoints across the product development lifecycle (PDLC) to enable transparency and repeatability.
Collaborate with the Transformation Office: Align on shared governance models, investment evaluation, project planning, and change management standards.
Support Business Case Development: Facilitate the intake and evaluation of initiatives with clear definitions of scope, impact, cost, and measurable value. |
Drive Transparency & Performance: Create dashboards, reporting cadences, and KPIs that communicate progress, risks, and realized value to key stakeholders.
Enable Strategic Resource Allocation: Work across teams to ensure resources, timelines, and capabilities are aligned to priority initiatives.
Manage Portfolio Health: Identify and address execution risks, interdependencies, and blockers to keep delivery on track and value flowing.
Promote a Culture of Delivery Excellence: Encourage collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the portfolio ecosystem.
Engage cross-functionallywith business units, finance, operations, and other enterprise teams to ensure alignment and transparency across all portfolio activities.

Qualifications/Experience & Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or relevant master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in program delivery, product operations, or portfolio management, with increasing leadership responsibility in technology- or product-centric environments.
  • Experience working through large scaled transformation



Knowledge & Skills



  • Agile, Lean, or Project/Program Management certifications (e.g., SAFe, PMP, PgMP) are a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead portfolio operations and delivery models at scale-ideally across both agile and traditional project environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing the full product development lifecycle, with a focus on operationalizing best practices and delivery consistency.
  • Familiarity working with enterprise transformation or strategic PMO teams to drive alignment on governance and value realization.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex information to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
