Summary:

  • Drive RFP and competitive bidding processes, incorporating clinical input and stakeholder needs to ensure high-value sourcing outcomes.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client and Vizient's GPO teams, facilitating alignment on contracting activities, issue resolution, and supplier performance management.
  • Engage clinical committees and sourcing councils to build consensus, support contract adoption, and enhance stakeholder relationships, while managing escalations and ensuring continuity across all activities.
  • Oversee implementation of high-impact contracts, develop rollout plans, track contract milestones, and stay informed on market dynamics affecting the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor contract performance post-implementation, identifying utilization gaps, compliance risks, or optimization opportunities in collaboration with client stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning, pipeline development, and the execution of the annual work plan to deliver measurable outcomes across service line categories.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree desired in Business, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required; ideally in sourcing, contracting, consulting, or healthcare supply chain.
  • Direct experience negotiating within surgical or other medical/clinical categories is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional teams, and build consensus among clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret spend data and translate insights into action
  • Healthcare, GPO, or hospital supply chain experience is strongly preferred; understanding of acute-care clinical environments is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a track record of influencing decisions at the executive and clinical level
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15-30% for committee face-to-face meetings, internal meetings, industry events, and occasional client site visits.
