Manufacturing Engineer II

Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of manufacturing and assembly processes, procedures, and systems. Provides leadership, project management, support and solutions for New Product Development and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops standard work processes for areas of responsibility. Includes: development and documentation of routings and routing templates, working with shop floor employees to identify improvements, and collaborating with team to utilize best practices.
• Acts as liaison between Operations and Engineering and IT to address manufacturing issues. Works with plant to coordinate project work, and collaborates with teammates at multiple levels of authority and responsibility.
• Leads and participates in continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen and process mapping events. Regularly uses Lean tools to solve problems.
• Initiates, innovates, and implements process changes to achieve company goals, including utilization of new technology and justification of capital equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with CNC machining experience, design and testing preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience in Lean culture and demonstrated success with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be a self-starter, team player, and flexible multi-tasker who is serious about meeting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks and/or SAP also preferred.
• Experience with CNC Turning, Milling, Hobbing or Grinding preferred.
