Our Enterprise Client is seeking highly experienced and knowledgeable Medicaid Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a State Enterprise Data Warehouse and the State Medicaid program. This role requires deep expertise in Medicaid Enterprise Systems, data warehousing, and healthcare analytics. The SME will provide strategic guidance and technical direction to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Medicaid data systems.
Key Responsibilities: * Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise for the implementation and operation of a large-scale Medicaid data warehouse. * Lead and advise internal and external stakeholders on complex Medicaid processes, including claims adjudication, provider enrollment, recipient eligibility, and third-party liability. * Identify and assess state Medicaid agency data needs, recommending and validating solutions with clear justification and proof of concept. * Guide technical and business teams in the appropriate use and interpretation of healthcare data. * Recommend process improvements and system enhancements based on Medicaid best practices, standards, and policies. * Collaborate with stakeholders to develop tools and models such as dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids, and business case analyses. * Manage the delivery of key analytics and reporting deliverables to external stakeholders and clients. Required Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years supporting State Medicaid agencies or equivalent. * In-depth understanding of Medicaid data processes, including claims, eligibility, and provider enrollment. * Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis against large datasets and data warehouses. * Strong knowledge of CMS reporting requirements and Medicaid/CHIP programs. * Experience with Teradata or equivalent database management systems. * Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Rally, or Azure DevOps. * Demonstrated success in large-scale system implementation projects. Preferred Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience with CMS Federal Reporting, PERM, T-MSIS, or similar initiatives. * 2+ years of experience with HEDIS, CHIPRA, or other healthcare quality metrics. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders. * Proven ability to mentor team members and foster collaborative working relationships. * Strong alignment with core values: Integrity, Compassion, Inclusion, Relationships, Innovation, and Performance. * *Business Challenge: This role is critical to the success of the Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouse. The SME will serve as a key decision-maker, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data related to claims, providers, and recipients. The position requires a proactive, analytical thinker who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $7.25 - $55.60/hr.
