Overview

VTG is hiring a Program Manager to provide in-service logistics support to the NAVAIRSYSCOM PMA-275 V-22 Osprey Joint Program at Pax River, MD. Specifically, provide sustainment support to the V-22 Integrated Product Support Team (IPST) in support of V-22 Projects associated with Periodic Maintenance Inspection coordination worldwide, Readiness Data Analytics, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Operations (O-I-D) and lifecycle logistics/total ownership costs.


What will you do?

Provide in-service program support and in-service logistics support to the NAVAIRSYSCOM PMA-275 V-22 Osprey Joint Program. Specifically provide support duties as Program Manager for the V-22 Osprey support contracts. Liaison requirements include organic V-22 depot maintenance activities at Cherry Point North Carolina, North Island California, Atsugi Japan, NAVSUP Philadelphia Pennsylvania, DLA Richmond Virginia, Fleet Support Team Cherry Point and associated Dets, Type Commanders/Major Commands and their associated organizations. Daily responsibilities will include working closely with the V-22 Product Support Manager, Product Support Team Lead (Sustainment Lead), FRC Depot Managers, USN/USMC Aviation Squadron personnel, Production Coordinators, Fleet Support Team Engineers and Logisticians and associated Supply Commands to ensure appropriate actions have been taken to ensure the successful achievement of readiness goals for V-22 variants have been met.

  • Provide in-service sustainment support to the V-22 Product Support Manager/Sustainment Leads and Assistant Program Managers for Logistics at PMA-275 Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Maryland / V-22 Fleet Support Team Lead and Logistics Lead.
  • Analyze depot maintenance requirements, supply data and operational site requirements for V-22 aircraft depot maintenance at V-22 FRC locations with specific emphasis on PMI events at 'brick and mortar facilities.
  • Identify and support root cause analysis associated with three levels of maintenance for each V-22 variant.
  • Monitor, track and report requirement trends and anomalies, making recommendations for improvements to the business process.
  • Supports key Government personnel at the V-22 Fleet Readiness Centers and V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) for Integrated Logistics Support/Depot maintenance planning and implementation. Perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems.
  • Works on logistics and depot maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: development of logistics support and depot maintainability programs or plans; weapons systems hardware standardization and compatibility; Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program PMI planning and execution; and, ILS program management analysis. Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics and maintenance data and information with an emphasis on digital optimization of those processes.
  • Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to product support / depot maintenance or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Education: Master's degree.
  • Allowable Substitution: A Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline may be substituted for five (5) years' experience. A Master's degree in a related technical discipline may be substituted for ten (10) years' experience.
  • Experience - At least fifteen (15) years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Production activity of aeronautical weapon systems acquisition programs. At least five (5) years of defense acquisition management experience must have been obtained within the last ten (10) years.
  • Work hours will be in direct support of the client; therefore, hours may be fluid at times in order to meet customer/operational requirements. Work schedule flexibility is required. Remote work may be authorized.

Preferred Skills:

  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point; well-developed written and oral communication skills; ability to assess established business processes, identify/document business process problems and recommend business process improvement initiatives/digital optimization; strong team building skills and ability to develop and maintain a highly integrated network of team members required to successfully execute the V-22 support mission.
  • Knowledge of the following areas is highly desirable:
    • a) Navy/Marine Corps/Air Force Depot Maintenance Practices;
    • b) Planning and conduct of Navy Supply Support Programs for In-service aircraft systems;
    • c) Understanding of Navy Organization (Operational / Administrative / Test & Evaluation / Maintenance); and
    • d) Naval Supply Systems Command / Defense Logistics Agency, Aviation Business Processes

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $150,000-$200,000 annually which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
