Summary of the Job:

Provide general legal advice to employees and management representatives of the Partnership Credit Card business regarding regulatory, state law, and risk matters. Supports Partnership Credit Card with managing risk. Will participate in projects and complete assignments as requested. Reports to and is accountable to the Partnership Credit Card Legal and Business Risk Manager.

About This Role:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Credit Card Regulatory Compliance

    • Provide legal advice and counsel to business units on credit card regulations.

    • Monitor and analyze federal regulatory developments affecting credit card products and services.

    • Assist in developing and reviewing credit card disclosures, agreements, and marketing materials.

  • Risk Management and Support

    • Research and interpret state-specific laws affecting credit card products.

    • Advise on state specific requirements, fee restrictions, and disclosure requirements.

    • Analyze regulatory issues, conduct research and develop recommendations to mitigate risk.

    • Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to implement legal and regulatory changes.

  • Product Development Support

    • Provide risk guidance during credit card product development lifecycle.

    • Review proposed product features for legal and regulatory compliance.

    • Assist in implementing legal and regulatory requirements into business processes.

  • Uphold the First National Code of Business Conduct and ensure confidential information is safeguarded.

  • Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with co-workers and business partners.

  • Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency.

  • Foster and promote the proper company image at all times.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (state bar membership required).

  • Ability to analyze federal and state credit card regulations.

  • Experience with legal and regulatory research.

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, while still developing tactical plans.

  • Demonstrate a consultative approach with the ability to analyze stakeholders' needs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships.

  • Display a positive business presence with business units and external contacts.

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and apply logical and critical thought processes when developing and recommending solutions.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $88,067.00-$145,309.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
