Summary of the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned Decision Engine Design and Implementation Lead who designs and configures end-to-end automated underwriting and account management strategies using Provenir Studio, REST APIs, and JavaScript while integrating credit bureau data, fraud detection systems, and Python models. This technical leader translates complex business requirements into logical decisioning workflows that balance flexibility, efficiency, and maintenance considerations, while also creating comprehensive documentation and collaborating across Product and IT teams. The role requires extensive banking and financial services experience, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead implementation teams through complex projects from requirements gathering to successful deployment.

About This Role:

Strategic Design

  • Design logical workflows that serve as the blueprint for end-to-end implementation of complex automated underwriting and account management strategies, incorporating needed flexibility, efficiency, stability, ease of maintenance and enhancement, and downstream analytical transparency
  • Recommend improvements to existing solutions or processes to optimize performance and maintain best practices
  • Apply experience in Banking, Financial Services, and risk management to deliver industry-leading solutions

Technical Implementation & Development

  • Configure solutions within Decision Engine to meet requirements for credit, fraud, or other risk-based decisioning use cases
  • Utilize REST APIs, XML, JSON, and JavaScript to configure, integrate and customize decision flows
  • Leverage understanding of credit bureau report features, identity verification, and data science (including Python models) to enhance solution capabilities

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, technical specifications, and configuration guides

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate and communicate with end users to understand business processes, gather requirements, ensure scope alignment, and progress against timelines
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams (Product, IT) to ensure successful project delivery
  • Clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Problem Solving & Analysis

  • Leverage strong analytical skills and creativity to identify, diagnose, and resolve configuration and integration challenges

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead team of implementation analysts, providing technical direction to the development team by breaking down complex project requirements into manageable tasks with clear acceptance criteria and ensuring alignment between technical execution and business objectives while fostering individual growth and ownership among team members

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Banking, Financial Services, or related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience configuring or implementing Provenir Studio or similar decisioning platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, XML, JSON, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with data integrations, ETL processes, and web service endpoints.
  • Practical knowledge of credit and fraud risk management practices.
  • Understanding of credit bureau report features, scorecards, and identity verification processes.
  • Awareness of data science concepts, particularly Python models and their integration into decisioning platforms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading or managing Provenir implementation projects from inception to go-live.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk decisioning processes, scoring models, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
  • Familiarity with business analytics tools and reporting platforms.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $105,443.00-$179,253.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
