About the Unit

Our team is comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee the medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings. We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications. By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events, we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Scope of Job

The Pharmacy Stock Technician will support inventory control related activities in collaboration with the Inventory Control Coordinators, Pharmacy Buyer, and Inventory Control Specialist.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred Associate's Degree

  • Hospital experience Preferred

  • LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or

  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required
