Contracts Specialist

Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

Champion Energy Services, a Calpine (NYSE: CPN) company, is a thriving business and one of the nation's leading electric service providers. Champion is looking for exceptional people to join our team. We have an immediate need for a Contracts Specialist within the Commercial Operations Department.

Job Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for managing commercial retail Contracts, building quotes, and ensuring that all deals are confirmed independently from Sales
• Confirming contracts have been transferred properly into multiple systems
• Calculating custom contract ETFs (Early Termination Fees)
• Administering daily contract confirmations to Sales personnel
• Overseeing & managing contract amendments inbox
• Quality-checking all contract language provided by Sales to ensure up-to-date contracts as provided by Legal
• Quality-checking data on the contracts to ensure pricing components and accounts are accurate
• Determining if minimum margin requirements have been met
• Confirming Sales Margins to Sales personnel using up-to-date marks

Job Requirements

• 1-2 years' work in the retail electricity market, with experience in credit, contracts, or Pricing/ wholesale operations
• Strong Excel skills (some VBA preferred) and SQL experience preferred
• Strong analytical, qualitative, and logical problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
