As an Associate Creative Director/Copy, your leadership and storytelling skills are integral to bringing our stories to life and making Teladoc Health an unforgettable brand. Sitting within the consumer marketing group, you'll take ownership of impactful campaigns that engage and retain current Teladoc Health members, helping us ensure they get the most out of the services/programs they have access to. You'll be the day-to-day leader for a small team of copywriters working on a variety of direct-to-member marketing communications and campaigns that span email, direct mail, social, and more. Our ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a thoughtful writer who can flex on a daily basis between advising and rolling up their sleeves to jump into the work. They're a strong communicator, a self-starter, and a natural collaborator who thrives in a nimble, distributed team environment.

In-house agency roles offer a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally, while also partnering with Consumer Marketing, Product Design, Clinical, and other internal teams on a wide range of initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee copywriting efforts focused on retention and engagement of current Teladoc Health members, particularly via email, direct mail, and SMS.
  • Assess creative briefs, collaborating with marketing partners to ensure clear creative direction on strategy and deliverables.
  • Encourage fresh thinking and a "surprise and delight" approach to all marketing communications projects.
  • Use data and creative testing learnings to inform content strategies.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international design counterparts to visually bring a variety of creative assets to life.
  • Follow internal processes for on-time, end-to-end creative development.
  • Pitch work via creative presentations to marketing partners and department leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards and exercise quality control on all copy, both written personally and overseen.
  • Keep up to date with visual and messaging trends, as well as best practices for email, direct mail, social, web and other marketing communications channels.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of copywriters
  • Advise on creative project assignments and workloads of team members
  • Guide and support the professional development of team members
  • Review work of team members for alignment to creative brief, marketing goals and adherence to corporate brand guidelines and editorial standards

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of copywriting/content development experience, as demonstrated via a portfolio of work samples
  • Proven track record writing for and/or supporting customer engagement and relationship management marketing and communications efforts
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry (or another highly regulated industry)
  • A strong understanding of marketing communications principles and best practices
  • Comfortable presenting work and selling in ideas
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners via design tools-experience with Figma a plus
  • Passion for making a positive impact in people's lives
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, with the flexibility to respond to changing business needs, priorities, and direction

The base salary range for this position is$100,000 - $125,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here:Teladoc Health Benefits 2025.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
