Process Tech Blow Molding

Flambeau Sharon Center - $25.00-$29.00 per hour starting wage

Must have blow mold specific processing experience

Our facility has 5# to 40# heavy duty Graham, Sterling and Cincinnati presses

We are adding three blow molding process techs to our production support team, one on each shift. At this time, we have one position open on each shift. If you have blow mold processing experience, apply today or give us a call to discuss. Experience with Graham, Sterling and Cincinnati presses is ideal. Starting wage contingent upon experience, higher wage on 2nd and 3rd due to shift differential.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide mold and fixture preventive maintenance.
  • Must be extremely proficient in every aspect of Molding Process
  • Must be able to set up/test and document a brand new tool and materials to produce an acceptable product.
  • Maintain fixture and secondary equipment in working order.
  • Must possess a high level of mechanical skills.
  • Requires a strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems and controls.
  • Store and document molds and fixtures.
  • Change mold inserts when possible (As equipment requires).
  • Change secondary equipment inserts and nesting.
  • Diagnose (troubleshoot) secondary equipment problems.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers,.
  • Uphold a strong desire to learn and new changing technologies.
  • Must have acceptable attendance record.
  • Standing and walking for periods of eight hours at a time.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and or pulling, 75 lbs. or more, but requires the ability to use good judgment in determining the best method and equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and shading.
  • Vision must be clear, with near vision at 12 inches or more and far vision at 20 ft. or more. If the associate requires corrective lenses, they must have and use them to be able to perform the part quality inspections.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak and hear others clearly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skill Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Effective and oral written communication with a wide variety of people.
  • Flexible and ability to fill in production supervisors on different shifts as required
  • Understand and follow work rules.
  • Basic math functions, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, X-bar and R charts, let down ratios.
  • Ability to work independently and within group settings
  • Knowledge of injection molding a plus.
  • Basic computer skill.


Physical Demand:


  • Continuously lifting or moving material of light weight (up to 10 pounds).
  • Frequently lifting or moving average weight material (between 25# to 60#).
  • Occasionally lifting or moving heavy weight material (over 60#).
  • Ability to climb railcars, ladders and steep stairs to perform service (height).
