SHIFT SCHEDULE: Training hours: typically 7am-3pm Posting training, 12hr 4-3 schedule Straight Nights PAY: The starting rate of pay for this position is $32.65 /hr + $2 shift premium BENEFITS: - Benefits Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision! - Retirement: 401(k) Profit Sharing - Referral Bonus: up to $2,000! ROLE OVERVIEW The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for effectively troubleshooting, resolving and maintaining equipment that includes but is not limited to flexographic presses, extruder/laminators, and slitters as well as providing general plant maintenance. WHAT YOU GET TO DO * Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. * Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. * Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. * Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. * Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. * Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. * Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. * Prepares reports documenting work performed. * Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. * Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. * Collaborates with production manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. * Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. * Performs other related duties as assigned. WHAT WE VALUE * Results orientation * Self-motivated, confident, organized, persistent, high energy * Collaborative relationships * Communication skills - written/oral * Analytical skills/problem solving * Business Acumen * Critical thinking & Conflict resolution WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU * 6 months - 1 year prior experience working as a maintenance technical or similar role in a manufacturing environment. * Good computer skills * Must have the ability to work in a team-based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity. * Must believe in promoting a positive culture within the facility focused on pride, ownership and accountability * Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis * Required to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift (as noted above) and climb frequently throughout the day on a daily basis * 100% of working hours are spent in a manufacturing production environment with the majority of that time spent standing, walking and moving around the machine to operator manufacturing equipment. * Personal protective equipment is required at all times * Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change and interface with all levels of management PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS * Stand and walk for an extended period of time. * Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential hazardous materials. * Must be able to lift a maximum of 55 lbs and must adhere to PPE and GMP requirements. * Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case by case situation.
