JOB TITLE:

DIRECTOR OF TICKET SALES AND REVENUE GENERATION

JOB PURPOSE:

Leads the ticket sales efforts for Wyoming Athletics with a focus on driving revenue and maximizing attendance across all ticketed sports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives ticket revenue across all ticketed sports through the sale of season tickets, mini plans, premium seating, group packages, annual fund donations and corporate ticketing options.
  • Proactively reaches out to fans, alumni, and the local community through outbound calls, in-person meetings, engagement opportunities and networking events to generate new ticket sales and renew existing accounts.
  • Represents the Athletic Department at all home events, providing first-class customer service while assisting with sales, operations and fan engagement efforts.
  • Builds meaningful relationships with supporters to foster loyalty, enhance the game day experience and grow long-term ticketing partnerships.
  • Meets and exceeds individual/team sales goals on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Leverages creative outreach strategies to identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the community, alumni network and regional businesses.
  • Participates in regular team meetings to collaborate on sales strategy, share best practices, and contribute ideas for increasing attendance and revenue.
  • Develops and manages a personal pipeline of ticket prospects and season ticket holders, maintaining accurate records in CRM.
  • Assists in shaping the annual ticket sales strategy and budget, aligning with department goals for fan engagement and revenue generation.
  • Coordinates/executes group ticket sales experiences to enhance group attendance and maximize fan satisfaction on game day.
  • Prepares timely and accurate reports to track individual and team performance, ensuring alignment with department sales goals.
  • Collaborates with senior athletic staff and external partners to maximize group sales assets and collaborative cross-selling.
  • Works closely with Marketing and Branding to support promotions and campaigns designed to boost ticket sales and elevate the fan experience.
  • Works collaboratively with Cowboy Joe Club development staff. Maintains full product knowledge of giving opportunities and required seat donations to drive transactional and philanthropic donations.
  • Partners with Paciolan, the Ticket Office and University of Wyoming Foundation data analytics and CRM teams to enhance fan outreach, track engagement metrics and convert leads into loyal supporters.
  • Builds and manages an intern program and student staff.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Minimum of one year ticketing or sales experience

Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy .

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of Paciolan
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • 2-3 years experience in sales or fundraising

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.
