Position Title: Floater
Wage: $15.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday), 6:30am - 3:00pm (Friday) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Floater at a company in Keokuk, IA. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Floater Responsibilities: - Prepare shipments for postal commercial conveyance - Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment - Inspect shipments for damages or defects - Records discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel - Sort, count and label products - Log inventory which is shipped or received - Determine most economical and efficient shipping method - Select appropriate shipping container and pack items to ensure safe delivery - Operate dolly pallet jack and/or forklift after trained at customer in loading and unloading supplies and equipment - Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities destination and routing are correct Requirements for Floater: - Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred - Good communication skills - Strong attention to detail - Able to work with others and independently - Able to pass QPS screening process - Able to multi-task while working in fast paced environment - Able to push, pull and lift non-repetitively and stand 8-to-10-hour shift - Able to work in a hot environment burlington@qpsemployment.com IND101 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
