The Senior Business Development Manager (Sr. BDM) - Medical Vertical is responsible for developing and executing the global commercial strategy for the medical segment. This role will lead strategic growth initiatives, drive customer engagement, and align cross-functional teams to deliver on vertical-specific revenue and profitability targets. The Sr. BDM will serve as a key liaison between customers, sales teams, product management, and executive leadership to ensure alignment with market needs and business objectives.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute the annual market strategy for the medical vertical, leveraging market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Define and deliver annual growth targets in collaboration with regional sales and marketing teams.
  • Lead regular funnel reviews and sales performance assessments to drive accountability and share best practices.
  • Maintain and grow C-level relationships with key accounts; lead customer trainings and plant visits.
  • Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) input to business unit leadership and influence product development roadmaps.
  • Define go-to-market strategies and prioritize target applications based on competitive differentiation.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage customer scorecards to drive KPI improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Application Engineering, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Participate in and lead industry trade organizations to enhance brand visibility and market intelligence.
  • Coach and mentor Strategic Account Managers (SAMs); leverage CRM tools and KPIs to drive performance.
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the sales organization.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales within the power transmission or related industrial sectors; medical vertical experience strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and influence across functions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
