The Inventory Control Specialist will direct and coordinate daily inventory reconciliation activities for all departments within the facility. This position will complete system transfers of products and raw materials between locations. The employee ensures inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods through the cycle counting system and analyze and remediate transaction problems. The ICS will manage the security, quality, and accuracy of Lube-Tech inventories and equipment used for operation processes.

Inventory Control Specialist:



  • Oversee daily processes within inventory control to meet safety, quality, production, and cost management objectives.
  • Review shipping files and production schedules daily to ensure material discrepancies will not adversely affect production or customer shipments.
  • Become proficient in the use of Ascentek's manufacturing & inventory control system (JDE).
  • Manage inventory of raw material availability for upcoming orders (offsite warehouses/transfers and incoming shipments).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by cycle counting raw materials, finished goods, and external warehouses.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to resolve routine problems.
  • Coordinate the rework process for the facility including, but not limited, to Nonconforming product, DNR, reclaims, and special projects.
  • Coordinate the process to address slow moving inventory.
  • Investigate inventory variances to ensure issues are documented and resolutions are worked through accounting and IT.
  • Transact system transfers of products/raw materials between bin locations, business unit locations, and 3rd parties as needed.
  • Perform weekly inventory audits for transactional locations (non-conforming, end of line, production, receiving, and external branch plant.
  • Reclass finished good inventory to maintain low SMOG levels and increase On Time Shipment.
  • Pallet consolidation and warehouse space optimization and utilization.
  • Assist Kit line lead by auditing Production Work Order Closures.
  • Provide support for SROP and Shipping Coordinators and/or Material Handlers as needed.
  • Communicate with supervisors and managers reasons behind inventory inaccuracy and provide ideas for improvement.
  • Participate in plant and continuous improvement projects.
  • Apply 6S throughout work area and utilize lean methods for reducing waste and improving processes.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.



Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent


      Experience and/or Training:



      • Must have thorough understanding of inventory principles and concepts.
      • 3-5 years manufacturing experience
      • 2-3 years experience with inventory control practices (Cycle counting, WOs, transfer paperwork, etc.)


      Technology/Equipment:



      • Inventory Management System (JDE).
      • Computer Software experience using Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word and understanding of
        WMS.



        PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

        This is a physical job requiring frequent walking, ability to get in and out of the truck several times a day, climbing
        customer's equipment. The employee must have the ability to perform basic math. This position requires the ability to lift
        hoses and/or fittings weighing up to 50 lbs. and pull a hose weighing approximately 50 - 100 lbs. The mental and physical
        requirements described here are the representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the
        essential functions of this position.

        WORKING ENVIRONMENT:



        • Work in extreme heat (>80 degrees) during summer in the Warehouse and Production area
        • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety eye glasses and safety steel-toe shoes are required
        • Work hazards - Safety concerns to include heavy products, light and heavy-duty machinery, forklifts, working in a congested and high activity warehouse
        • Exposed to various fuels, including oil, gasoline and diesel.



        The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $22 and $28 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
