Salary Range: $85,100 - $130,000

Position Summary:

CEHD is searching for a Vice Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement. The Vice Dean will act as a strategic advisor to the dean and will assist with prioritizing special projects and issues that require the dean's attention and ensure their efficient execution in alignment with CEHD's objectives. This role is critical in preparing the dean for meetings, speaking opportunities and events and is tasked with ensuring that all necessary connections and follow-ups are conducted. The Vice Dean will lead high priority requests for the dean, and oversee the development of events, speeches, memos, and communication materials consistent with CEHD's messaging and advancement strategies. As a member of the dean's leadership team the Vice Dean will work with departments, centers and CEHD senior staff to identify and develop new programing, ensuring that the business models are sustainable across multi-year budgets.

The Vice Dean will act as a liaison with constituents internal and external to the university including central administration, policymakers, civic leaders and community-based advisory boards to advance collective education advocacy and engagement, ensure the dean is well informed on current events and outcomes for decisions and effectively continue to cultivate those relationships.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree and 7-10 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred: Masters Degree

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
