We are looking for a talentedIndustrialEngineerwhocancombinesystems thinkingwithtechnicalknowledgeto lead the development ofsimulationmodelsandprocessesto improve facility layouts.Thisrole will require the use ofsimulationtoolsto quantitatively assess current operationalperformanceand facility layoutsto enable data-driven decision-making,andexecute changestoreducecost,optimizethroughput, and develop standardsacrossvarious Servicefacility types.This role demands excellentcommunication,interpersonal skills, and teamworkwith the ability to prioritize needs amongst multiple stakeholders whilealigning technical solutions with business goals.
What You'll Do
- Developand deploysimulation modelsand algorithmsforvariousServicefocusedfacility typesthatintegratevehicle flow,material flow,tooling operations, andpeople
- Apply simulationstovalidatereal worldprojects andidentifybottlenecks and improvement opportunitiesfor facility layouts
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including field technicians, Structural, MEP, Fire Engineers, Architects, and Construction Managerstoidentifyoperational bottlenecks and opportunities, and translate requirements into technical solutions, while ensuring seamless tool integration
- Continuously refine tools and models by incorporating feedback,monitoringperformance, and staying current with industry innovations and best practices
- Create audit tools and proposeandexecuteenhancements to systems and operations
- Design andmodifyfacility layoutstooptimizeforworkflow, safety, and efficiency
- Apply industrial engineering principles such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization toimprovesimulation performance, operationalprocesses, and facilitylayouts
- Travel to sitestoconductassessments, feasibility studies,and gather feedbackto improvetools andprocesses
- Ensure compliance with buildingcodes,and ADA regulations
- Developarchitectural plans, construction documents, and 3D models using BIM software
What You'll Bring
- Degree inIndustrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,Architecture,or related field, with experience insimulations,operations research,optimization techniques,anddata visualization tools
- 5+ years as an Industrial Engineeror ina related rolewithexpertisein capacity planning, operations management, andoptimizingfacility layouts.Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus
- Experience withsimulation toolsisrequired. Strong preference forFlexsim,Anylogicorother relatedsoftware
- Experience withAutodesk Revit, and AutoCADisrequired
- Experience with SQL,Pythonand data visualization tools (ie.Tableau,PowerBI)
- Experienceinarchitecture, engineering, and construction, withgeneralknowledge of buildingsystemsandcodesis astrongplus
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with experience in industry methodologies: A3, 8D, ATS, MODAPTS, continuous improvement (Lean/ Six Sigma), and change management
- Strong positive attitude,sense ofurgency, and ability to meet role requirements, with excellent interpersonal, leadership, and attention to detail skills
- Advanced MS Office skills, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking,SimFlex,andotheranalyticsand visualizationtoolsare a plus
