REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience: Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-5 years of experience supervising others. 5 to 10 years of experience in a packaging environment preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
* Knowledge or experience in production/packaging systems.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, subordinates, customers and clients
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and non-concrete variables.
* Requires superior interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with employees, staff, management etc.
* Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to prioritize and work simultaneously on several projects.
* Must be able to learn and perform all of the duties of each packaging position.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and make informed decisions quickly.
* Ability to effectively coach, monitor and discipline employees.
* Ability to operate within a team atmosphere.
* Ability to initiate, coordinate and enforce operational personnel policies and procedures.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
* Forklift certification (the Company will train and certify).
* Analytical and mathematical skills
* Reliable, organized and attentive to detail
* Moderate computer skills, including communicating internally and externally via email, performing some financial calculations, generating reports and proficient at using business systems.
* Ability to comprehend verbal communication, read and comprehend written communications, reports, and
schematics. Ability to give verbal and written communications to management, subordinates, customers and vendors. Ability to make presentations for one-on-one or groups.
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
* Ability to perform basic math, complex algebraic and other computations.

* Provide direct supervision to packaging personnel, delegate work assignments, conduct performance evaluations on a timely basis, coach, mentor, train and provide guidance to personnel.
* Ensure that adequate supplies are maintained for order fulfillments.
* Learn all packaging positions and perform those duties when needed.
* Remain current on industry standards to ensure on-going improvement of methods and processes.
* Review and approve time and attendance of employees.
* Create/foster a positive work environment.
* Ensure that personnel are following company safety procedures. Report all incidents/injuries in a timely manner.
