Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking an Incident Support Team Coordinator to serve as the liaison between deployed Incident Support Teams (ISTs), Incident Management Teams (IMTs), and the State Emergency Response Team (SERT). The role involves ensuring field-deployed teams are aligned with operational and financial procedures, capturing all necessary data for reimbursement, and relaying team needs and updates to SERT leadership and the Field Operations Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate with deployed Incident Support Teams (ISTs) and Incident Management Teams (IMTs) during activations
  • Ensure teams are capturing accurate financial, operational, and logistical data for reimbursement purposes
  • Work closely with the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Finance Section
  • Provide situational updates, reports, and field needs to SERT command staff and the Field Operations Branch Manager
  • Facilitate communication and resource requests between the field and the SEOC
  • Track and document team assignments, deployment statuses, and mission completions
  • Support post-mission documentation and after-action reporting activities
  • Assist with onboarding and coordination of newly deployed IST/IMT personnel


Basic Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in emergency response coordination or field operations support
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with diverse emergency response teams
  • Experience working with state or federal emergency management entities
  • Knowledge of financial documentation and reimbursement procedures for deployed teams
  • Proficient with incident tracking systems such as WebEOC or similar platforms
  • Must be a U.S. citizen


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in coordinating with Incident Support Teams (ISTs) or IMTs at the state level
  • Knowledge of FEMA reimbursement procedures and state emergency management protocols
  • Familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and ICS structure
  • Experience with emergency operations center (EOC) and field deployment coordination

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment


Working Environment:

Work may be performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), coordination offices, or field environments. Extended hours and travel may be required throughout the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
