Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations to support the mission, vision and values of HonorHealth. This position serves as a key member of the Foundation's Corporate and Events team and is accountable for an assigned share of the Foundation's fund-raising goals. This position manages external fundraising events as well as the Foundation's internal events. Cultivates long-term strategic relationships with organizational and individual funders to secure sponsorships and philanthropic gifts.
Essential Functions
- Implement, grow and manage aspects of the HonorHealth Foundation Events Fundraising Program. This includes identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding external and Foundation internal event donors, and sponsors at local and national levels. This position utilizes an assigned portfolio to achieve fundraising goals and is responsible for maintaining and growing the donor pipeline which includes acquisition, retention, and recapture of donors to reach annual revenue and margin targets. Maintains and expands base of sponsorship/partner relationships through ongoing communication and cultivation. Ensures timely renewals and continued sponsorship/partnership growth year over year.
- Manage the relationship and activities with external vendors and event partners, negotiating agreements with vendors and sponsor contacts to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service. Determine fiscal requirements and manage event budget including the collection of receipts and all surrounding documents. Coordinate event environment (signage, branding etc.) and manage the execution of events onsite. Analyze event operations, facilitate debrief meetings, and prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies within the events.
- Drive strategies, forecasts, and plans for developing and executing special fundraising and community outreach events designed to grow the donor pipeline. Coordinate the growth of external events and cause marketing opportunities.
- Creates and maintains guidelines for event invitation criteria for all events. Analyzes invitation criteria and attendance trends to identify appropriate invitees for all events. Maintains responsibility of event invitation criteria to ensure donor audiences are managed appropriately to maximize engagement and stewardship opportunities. Supervises invitation production, mailing lists, mailing, and response tracking and coordinates the flow of information regarding events. Utilize the Foundation database tools to account, track and report on events.
- Participates in professional associations as appropriate to stay current and abreast of knowledge and skills required of a professional fund raising associate. Ensures active identification and accomplishment of annual personal development goals. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education
- Master's Degree Business Management, Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management or related field of study - Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Business Management, Communication, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management or closely related. - Required
Experience
- 5 years in the field of fundraising, event management, or similar experience in the hospitality industry - Required
- 7 years in the field of fundraising, event management with advanced training in fundraising management - Preferred
