Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer Location: Daleville, VA Reports to: R&D Director About Us: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Design Engineer to help develop our next generation of advanced Data Center Cooling Products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, including the intricacies of system design, component selection, and performance optimization. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative HVAC systems, focusing on sustainability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Select appropriate components, including fans, heat exchangers, and compressors, to meet design specifications and performance requirements.
- Analyze refrigeration cycle performance to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems.
- Understand and apply electrical diagrams and control systems to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate HVAC systems with other building systems, ensuring seamless operation and energy efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure designs are cutting-edge and compliant.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Participate in product testing
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
- Profound understanding of the refrigeration cycle, component functionality, and system performance optimization.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and control systems.
- Familiarity with various types of fans, heat exchangers, and compressors used in HVAC systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading design projects.
- General knowledge of CAD
- Large commercial, chiller, or industrial refrigeration design experience
- Product testing and troubleshooting
