Summary:

The primary function of this position is to weld fabricated parts used in the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties:



  • Demonstrates the competencies of a welder I
  • Must be AWS certified in aluminum 6061 and 5052

    • 3G-.050/.063/.125 TIG
    • 3G-.125/.250 MIG


  • Must be AWS certified in current steel production

    • 3G-18Ga& 10Ga TIG
    • 3F-.18Ga & 10Ga TIG/MIG


  • Must be AWS certified in structural steel production-.281 wall to 2.25 bar stock (towbar)

    • 1F-.031 TIG/MIG
    • 1G-.031 fillet TIG


  • Must be AWS certified in all current stainless production

    • 3G-22Ga & 18Ga TIG


  • Able to operate the Miller welder
  • Performs operator maintenance on equipment
  • Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer terminal and/or written reporting
  • Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
  • Performs cycle counting of parts and material handling duties as required
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:



  • High School diploma or GED preferred. In lieu of preferred diploma, relevant work experience demonstrating the required job skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the job
  • 1-3 years of industry related experience
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to obtain AWS Certification in all above welding areas
  • Operation of small power tools, other hand tools and computerized and high-pressure equipment
  • Goal oriented and team focused to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner
