Position Summary: The Data Control Specialist assists in the support of the Operations and Engineering teams by managing change orders and ensuring accurate documentation in Oracle Agile PLM. This position is responsible for assisting with training staff, maintaining ISO compliance, and facilitating process improvements. Working in a team environment, this position will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality, Master Data Management, Project Management, and Sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Create and submit change orders, and communicate with other resources to confirm accuracy.
  • Process change requests and complete related change orders.
  • Facilitate change order progress through Oracle Agile PLM workflow.
  • Format and submit bills of material based on Engineering guidance for Oracle Agile PLM entry.
  • Assist and/or lead group training of employees on the Oracle Agile PLM software.
  • Assist in and/or lead applicable procedure and policy training that relates to Operations Data Management (ODM).
  • Create and update routers, resources, departments and standard operations in Oracle EBS.
  • Create and maintain department ISO documents.
  • Audit Oracle Agile PLM Change Orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and update department KPI metrics.
  • Create and maintain department QMS documents.
  • Maintain the standard of Quality set forth by SIG SAUER management.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required safety and ISO procedures.
  • May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
  • May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required, or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree desired.
  • 1-3 years' of previous work experience is typically required.
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes is required.
  • Possesses a technical aptitude and basic understanding of product components, engineering processes and drawings.
  • Strong computer skills with prior experience and/or aptitude to understand and use a wide variety of software such as Oracle Agile PLM; Oracle EBS; MRP; Excel to include the ability to create pivot tables and charts and graphs; any CAD software; Word; Adobe Acrobat; Power Point; and other applications.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to adapt to varying priorities and ability to use independent judgment.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to set priorities, follow through, and follow-up.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Strong writing skills required; technical writing experience is preferred.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
