Job Summary:
The HR Onboarding Specialist works as part of the Talent Acquisition team to ensure new and existing team members across the health system receive the best possible service and support during their onboarding experience, while also ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the onboarding process for all new hires and transfers to be an outstanding experience that ensures Associates are equipped with the necessary tools, information, and resources to succeed from day one.
- Prepares and processes new hire paperwork, verifies required documents, ensures compliance with MWHC job descriptions, policies and legal requirements and that HR systems and Associate records are updated appropriately.
- Assists with facilitation of New Associate Orientation to include room set up, greeting, navigating questions from new hires, and creating a welcoming experience.
- Assist new hires in accessing and navigating HR systems and essential tools, ensuring they are set up for success.
- Maintains accurate records of onboarding progress, generates reports as needed for HR leadership and operates efficiently within HR systems.
- Participates in the upkeep of onboarding knowledge base and processes.
- Assists Talent Acquisition leadership with various assigned tasks, special projects, and HR sponsored activities.
- Performs administrative, office related, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of HR or office experience required.
- Computer and software proficiency including at least intermediate level experience with Microsoft 365 applications required.
- Experience working in a health care setting and with Joint Commission requirements preferred.
- Familiarity with Workday, Smartsheet, and OnBase preferred.
