Job Description

As the Production Manager, you'll report directly to the Plant Manager and will be charged with complete responsibility for management of all supervisors and shift employees. Additionally, comply with all safety, quality, quantity and housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage all department personnel and operations to ensure product is completed in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all department processes and equipment.

  • Report and process any equipment problems.

  • Responsible for the discipline and termination of supervisors and shift personnel.

  • Upgrade, evaluate and review employees.

  • Organize work for smooth operation.

  • Responsible for cost controls and optimizing processes to ensure all activities are value added while ensuring production goals are met.

  • Establish department procedures to maintain structured discipline as well as reach quality and performance objectives.

  • Coordinate the training and cross training of employees to facilitate skills growth.

  • Ensure that established policy, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.

  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees' safety and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards.

  • Troubleshoots problems that may arise.

  • Responsible for reporting discrepancies in orders and setup to the Plant Manager.

  • Drive continuous improvement.

  • Identify root cause and implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials and out of control processes.

  • Responsible for meeting all production targets established by the Plant Manager and/or corporate.

  • Responsible for efficient asset utilization and resource loading.

  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards.

  • Ensure food safety, good manufacturing practices, and ISO Quality System processes are maintained.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years' Production Manager experience, preferably in PVC film manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or conversion of PVC film.

  • Proven leadership and solid communication skills.

  • Ability to direct, motivate and work effectively with others.

  • Demonstrated passion for safety
