For this position we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Scientist (Program/Project Manager) to lead and contribute to mission-critical technology initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise and proven leadership in managing complex projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with counterterrorism (CT) investigators, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure, and efficient software and systems solutions.

What Are Some Key Responsibilities?

  • Lead major technology assignments and apply comprehensive knowledge across high-impact tasks.
  • Serve as a technical expert across multiple project assignments; may supervise other team members.
  • Collaborate with non-technical personnel to understand functional needs, identify gaps, and develop feasible technical solutions.
  • Design, build, and support technical, business, and end-user documentation.
  • Enhance existing software and systems through performance, security, and automation improvements.
  • Perform programming (e.g., Python), code refactoring, and systems design.
  • Evaluate and integrate COTS, GOTS, OSS, and other software to implement complex data and technology solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to both government and vendor teams.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, track project progress, and deliver performance metrics as needed.

What Qualifications Do You Need?

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) with ability to pass Polygraph exam.
  • Masters Degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Computer Science, including:
  • Full lifecycle engineering project management.
  • Development and implementation oversight of contractor-led projects.
  • Four (4) years of relevant Project Management experience
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following:
  • UI/UX design
  • Front-end engineering
  • API development
  • Data engineering
  • P/PM Experience: At least 4 years of relevant Program/Project Management experience.

What Other Skills and Experience Would Help You Be Successful?

  • Experience in enterprise architecture, engineering trade-off analysis, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept development.
  • Familiarity with commercial best practices in technical design and implementation.
  • Certifications: Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP).
