SENIOR PUBLIC EDUCATION COORDINATOR

What you'll do.

As the Senior Public Education Coordinator at the AAN, you'll play a key role in bringing our brain health public education strategy to life. You'll coordinate the development of impactful content that educates and empowers, working closely with internal teams and dedicated member volunteers to ensure delivery is timely, high-quality, and aligned with our mission to promote brain health. This position offers a unique blend of editorial oversight, strategic collaboration, and operational problem-solving. You'll also help shape and refine workflows, optimizing our processes and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the board.

What we look for.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in English, Humanities, Science, or related area is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of vendor relationship experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting program management and documenting standard operating procedures/instructions is required
  • Copyediting and proofreading experience is required
  • Experience in digital education dissemination or programming is preferred

*Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to collaborate across teams is required
  • Proactive decision-making skills are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Attention to detail is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft platform or similar is required
  • Proficiency in working within a database is preferred, particularly project management or manuscript tracking platforms is preferred
  • Able to work under tight and calendar driven deadlines to deliver monthly content is preferred

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required - approximately 5%. Ability to legally travel outside of the United States, particularly but not limited to Canada.

Location: Minneapolis, MNand is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)

Schedule: Rarely beyond standard work schedule required
