The Logistics Coordinator manages the flow of materials and products within supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory, working with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to optimize the logistics process.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of orders, preparing shipping documents, and processing shipments
  • Work with transportation providers to arrange shipments, manage transportation costs, and optimize routes
  • Support warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and ensure proper storage and handling of materials
  • Facilitate communication between different departments, including production, procurement, and distribution, to ensure smooth workflow
  • Address issues related to shipments, delivery delays, or inventory shortages
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations related to transportation and warehousing
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive the company van or box truck, as needed
  • Ability to be certified to drive a forklift
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of logistics processes, transportation modes, and warehousing operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in managing orders and shipping documents
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards

PREFERRED

  • DCAA government audit experience
  • Experience with international shipping preferred
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
