Job Summary
The Aggregate Operations Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager and plays a key role in supporting regional operations across MOH. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals, ensure efficiency, problem solving, and safe operation support while fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the region.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with operations and geologists to develop and submit short term and long-term mining, production and reclamation plans
- Identifies opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market
- Coordinates yearly maintenance budget
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations relating to the operations
- Monitors employee activities and provides guidance where needed
- Ensure job expectations are communicated clearly
- Encourages a positive work environment and culture for all employees
- Manage fuel securement throughout MOH to include but not limited to diesel, power, natural gas
- Support operations with company initiatives
- Operation developments, work with contractors to develop scope of work and price estimates for large projects.
- Capital Project Management to include request for capital (CAR Form) and budget reporting.
- Work with product suppliers to determine pricing and training opportunities for MOH
- Build and maintain training plans for MOH employees
- Other projects and responsibilities identified by Regional Manager
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
Skills
- 5 years of experience in the field
- Valid Driver's License
- Good people and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to strategize, plan, and execute
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft office
- Ability to present data and information to a group of individuals
- Proficient with computers and able to learn various software programs
Physical Requirements
- Variable hours and shifts (including Saturdays as needed)
- Work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Out of town travel possible w/ trainings/seminars
- Exposed to mechanical equipment and moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Noise level is moderate
