The MD Admissions Office at the UW School of Medicine & Public Health is looking for an outgoing professional to join their team as an Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator II. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about MD program admissions processes, have experience with admissions advising and presenting to various audiences. This position represents the UW School of Medicine & Public Health MD Program to prospective students with the goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, student body and is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution's strategic goals. This position will work collaboratively as part of an engaging five-member team of talented faculty and staff, and will report to the Director of Admissions. This position is full or part-time, 75%-100%. 12 month position. This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Key Job Responsibilities:
School of Medicine and Public Health, MD Admissions Office, MD Admission The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), supports SMPH by overseeing all aspects of various health professions education programs: from admissions programs and curricular oversight to student services and multicultural initiatives across our statewide campus. It also is responsible for successfully meeting all national accreditation requirements as well as timely compliance with all health system, school, campus, and legislative policies and regulations. The OAA fosters a professional atmosphere to prepare health care providers and public health professionals at all stages of career development. The MD Admissions office supports the Medical School Admissions Committee and manages the entire application and selection process for prospective medical students. This includes the processes of providing information to prospective students and applicants, screening applications, conducting interviews, and ultimately making and communicating acceptance decisions. Compensation:The starting salary for this position is $57,500; but is negotiable based on Effective July 1, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires that positions earning less than $43,888 annually be considered non-exempt under FLSA provisions for overtime. Based on these rules, if the person selected for this recruitment will earn less than the new salary threshold at July 1, 2024 ($43,888 annually), they will be an academic staff non-exempt employee, will be paid hourly and will receive overtime compensation for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
