Transform Facilities at JLL with your leadership experience - we're looking for a Facilities Manager (FM) to join our IFM team! Location:Santa Clara, CA 95054, with once weekly travel to Pleasanton, CA 94588 Work schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Reports to: West Regional FM Lead Additional Perks: 10% of base salary annual performance bonus, lunchroom onsite w/prorated lunch, gym onsite, company providedcell phone & laptop,travel reimbursement Salary Range for this position is: $108,500 - $157,300 a yearThe compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. What this job involves:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned sites within the account-owned and/or occupied portfolio, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. This role encompasses management of all business lines and third-party relationships for two sites: Santa Clara and Pleasanton. Additionally, the position involves leading a team of Facility Management support staff and matrix management of Building Engineers.

What is your day to day?

Relationship Management:

  • Oversee performance and outcomes of assigned staff
  • Liaise with third-party owners (tenants) to ensure contract compliance, accurate reporting, and resolution of critical tenant relations issues
  • Foster and maintain trusted relationships with client representatives (JLL or external) and third-party service providers
  • Facilitate effective communication and escalation with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to implement best practices and cost-saving initiatives

Compliance:

  • Deliver comprehensive facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to portfolio-wide initiatives and relevant local, state, and federal regulations

Operations:

  • Spearhead management of contracted hard and soft service suppliers, ensuring consistent service delivery
  • Oversee work request processing and dispatch to vendors, landlords, and third-party providers
  • Direct Facilities Coordinators in support of operations
  • Orchestrate third-party maintenance activities and vendor management
  • Uphold company, Master Service Agreement (MSA), and client standards in site management and operations
  • Facilitate vendor performance inspections and support sustainability initiatives

Process Management:

  • Assume functional responsibility for Facility Management services within assigned scope
  • Develop and manage facility budgets aligned with client objectives
  • Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion within established SLAs and KPIs
  • Conduct daily dashboard reviews and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
  • Support CEM and engineering teams in preventive maintenance and compliance efforts
  • Implement programmatic approaches to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Lead JLL operations team in tactical planning and execution
  • Drive continuous service quality improvements
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and achieve Key Performance Indicators
  • Conduct root cause analyses for vendor failures and support client RCAs

People Management:

  • Direct overall team management, staff development, and succession planning
  • Participate in compensation planning processes
  • Develop and implement actionable career development plans for direct reports
Required Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; military service or college education in business management preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing multiple commercial facilities as a third-party provider, corporate manager, or consultant
  • 3+ years of proven people management experience leading an Integrated Facilities Management team
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and/or Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Exceptional leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles relevant to commercial property management
  • Outstanding client service orientation with ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret instructions, correspondence, and inquiries with clarity and precision
  • Adept at addressing and resolving inquiries or complaints from various stakeholders

Estimated total compensation for this position:

108,500.00 - 157,300.00 USD per year
