We have several positions to fill.

Purpose

Provide administrative and on-site support for the University Health Services Flu Shot Campaign.

Responsibilities
  • Perform check-in duties for flu shot appointments, such as greeting visitors, checking IDs, verifying age of attendees, providing instructions on completing paperwork, and providing directions for visitors. Disinfect check-in stations as needed. Replenish supplies for nurses and assist with the set-up/break-down of materials.

  • Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional customer service in all aspects of work. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance patterns. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Experience with clerical functions. Experience with and a moderate comfort level using an iPad for repetitive tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to learn tasks quickly with minimal training and supervision. Flexibility with shifting priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information. Regular and punctual attendance. Exhibits customer service-oriented behavior and excellent public relations skills in all aspects of work. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a diverse community and provide services from a non-judgmental perspective. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using electronic medical records. Experience using a Windows environment. Experience working in the front office of a healthcare/medical clinic or other facility requiring check-in.

Hourly Rate

$20.32

Working Conditions
  • Attire: Business Casual

  • Standard Office Environment, Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation, Lifting, pushing, or pulling

Work Shift
  • Hours per week - 25 to 28.

  • The work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Approximately 25-28 hours per week, mostly Tuesday through Thursday from September 29 to October 31.

  • Optional, extra work hours are available on Mondays and Fridays on an as-needed basis (hours will vary on those days).

  • Normal work days are potentially up to 9 hours per day with a 30-minute to 1-hour on-site lunch break.

  • Varied snacks and water will be provided.

  • You have the option to work either a full-day or 4-hour minimum shift -- a mixture of the two is possible; final schedule to be discussed during the interview process.
