POSITION SUMMARY The Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing clean, safe, and functional facilities by ensuring that maintenance and repair activities are completed. The Maintenance Worker will have a variety of skills that will include but are not limited to: minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, air conditioning/heating and groundskeeping. A professional licensure is not required. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds timely to identified and preventative repair, maintenance, and safety hazards/risks of all buildings, grounds, equipment, and Agency property.
- Follows directives and/or written work orders.
- Completes minor repairs to agency assets and assures minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, appliance, HVAC and electrical or other repair work in assigned facilities, where a professional license is not required.
- Power washing of buildings, walkways, floors, playground equipment, etc.
- Assists with winter maintenance including sidewalk snow removal and salting as needed.
- Moves furniture, cubicle units, or equipment from one location to another.
- Performs pre- and post-move inspections, preparation, and clean up.
- Receives general direction, training and coordination from Manager and Maintenance Team.
- Works as part of a maintenance team, as well as independently, to accomplish department goals.
- Collects information; participates in planning, and completes upgrading and minor repairs
- Follows safety protocols for the execution of tasks and storage of supplies and materials
- Assist with Food Service operations.
- Reports safety, sanitation, and fire hazards to Manager.
- Able to consistently meet attendance requirements.
- Works outside of normal hours as needed for emergency repairs and/or inclement weather
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Specific Direction - Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 to 3 years of experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license, adequate insurance with a car available at all times.
- Ability to work with and around individuals from various cultural backgrounds.

- Possess an understanding and sensitivity to the treatment environment in which the work is done.
