The Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Cycle Analyst - Performance Improvement.

As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you'll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Revenue Cycle Analysts perform a broad range of Revenue Cycle support functions including system maintenance, data analysis, report creation, and process improvement activities with oversight from other team members and management. Revenue Cycle Analysts supporting Performance Improvement functions are responsible for managing, championing, and coordinating revenue cycle initiatives to optimize workflows, determine the feasibility and value of implementing new tools and technology, perform market research to maintain market competitiveness, and articulate business cases for implementing changes focused on maximizing revenue capture and cash collections.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provides training, education, governance, and support to facilities and centralized functions performing front, middle, and back-end revenue cycle operations focused on improving KPIs and financial metrics
  • Identifies, recommends, and coordinates efforts to increase revenue capture and cash collections through process automation and optimization, advanced analytics, and new technology implementation
  • Reviews patient accounting data to reduce accounts receivable through cash collections efforts, strategic workflow prioritization, and denials management
  • Coordinates work with internal and external stakeholders to optimize and monitor the usage of vendors performing outsourced services

Qualifications

Experience & Knowledge:

  • A Revenue Cycle Analyst should have 3-5 years of experience and a relevant college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar.
  • An Analyst should possess a basic knowledge of healthcare finance or revenue cycle operations, including an understanding of registration, charging, billing, collections, and denials management processes.
  • Certification or experience with lean or six sigma process improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • A qualified candidate should have strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

***Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) might be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% domestic travel dependent on business need
